Bramham Horse Trials to host eventing Nations Cup qualifier

The British leg of the FEI eventing Nations Cup series will move north to Defender Bramham Horse Trials in West Yorkshire in 2027.

The announcement came in the wrap-up report from the FEI Board meeting held from 30 June to 1 July in Switzerland. The event is scheduled for 10 to 14 June 2027 at the short-format four-star level and will serve as a qualifier for the final in Boekelo, the Netherlands.

Nicholas Pritchard, event director at Bramham Horse Trials, said the team was delighted by the selection. He noted that the fixture is known as a discovery ground for horse and rider combinations and that inclusion in the series adds further impact.

The Nations Cup provides a route to the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games, with regular international participation expected from teams including France, Ireland, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, the Netherlands, Sweden and Italy.

Britain’s leg has previously been held at Bicton Horse Trials in Devon, Chatsworth in Derbyshire and Houghton Hall in Norfolk.
