British squad announced for under-25 eventing World Championships

British Eventing has named its team for the inaugural under-25 eventing World Championships, set to begin on 22 July in Millstreet, Ireland.

The six-rider squad includes Alice Casburn with Topspin, Tom Bird with Lenny, Barnie Brotherton with DHI King Nelson, Cerys Macaulay with Kananaskis, Jess Rimmer with The Spice Merchant, and Jasmine Underwood with Indian Girl G.

Three reserves were also named: Alice Casburn with LSS Ile De Re, Finn Healy with Greannanstown Monbeg Joe, and Lucy Stimson with Tynan Cooley.

Chef d’equipe David Sheerin said the selectors chose combinations best prepared to perform and represent British Eventing with pride. He added that the youth programme stands behind the riders.

British Eventing thanked its safety partner Charles Owen for supplying each rider with a new Kontor body protector and custom team covers.
