BYD has unveiled the Denza Z, an all-electric hypercar boasting more than 1,000 horsepower, at the Beijing Auto Show. The four-seater model accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in under two seconds and will launch in Europe first. It features advanced suspension and charging systems.
BYD, through its Denza subbrand, introduced the Denza Z hypercar at the Beijing Auto Show. The vehicle delivers over 1,000 horsepower from its electric motor and rivals high-performance models like the Rimac Nevera, according to CarNewsChina. It first appeared as a concept at the Shanghai Auto Show in 2025, with production versions now confirmed as four-seaters in hard-top, convertible, and track configurations. BYD has not yet disclosed full specifications for the track edition. The hypercar incorporates BYD's DiSus-M intelligent suspension system, akin to the Chevrolet Corvette's Magnetic Ride Control, and its Flash Charging technology. It also includes features from the YangWang U9, such as autonomous driving and tank turning, as shared with AutoExpress. Unlike BYD's limited YangWang hypercar, which was restricted to 30 units, the Denza Z aims for broader availability. The company plans an initial European debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in the UK this July, ahead of other markets. Pricing details remain undisclosed.
