Carabineros arrests “El Billete” and “Luchito del 34” for kidnapping and homicide

Two members of a criminal gang were arrested on Monday during raids in southern Santiago for their alleged involvement in a kidnapping and a homicide that occurred in April.

OS-9 officers from Carabineros, supported by GOPE and in coordination with the ECOH Prosecutor’s Office, captured F.I.M.A., 33, known as “El Billete,” and L.C.P.A., 20, nicknamed “Luchito del 34.” Both are Chilean nationals with extensive police records.

General Jaime Velasco said the arrests target a drug-trafficking structure operating in southern Santiago. Prosecutor Leonardo Tapia added that the crimes aimed to expand the gang’s territory.

Raids in Padre Hurtado, Puente Alto and La Florida yielded 82 million pesos in cash, 39 kilos of drugs, weapons and ammunition. The suspects will appear for detention control on Tuesday.
