Egypt and Syria discuss boosting ties, reject Israeli violations

On regional issues, Abdelatty expressed Egypt’s categorical rejection of Israeli violations of Syrian sovereignty and condemned attempts to exploit the situation for further territorial occupation. He called on Israel to adhere to the 1974 disengagement agreement and reiterated Egypt’s longstanding support for ending the Israeli occupation of the Syrian Golan Heights.

The talks also addressed broader regional developments, including US-Iran negotiations, de-escalation efforts, and the situation in Lebanon. Abdelatty stressed the importance of coordinated regional and international efforts to prevent wider conflict and reinforce security and stability.
