Police and rescue services were alerted just before midnight to an explosion in a stairwell in Norra Sofielund, Malmö. No reports of fire or injuries exist. Bomb technicians are en route to the scene.
The alert for the explosion came at 23:55 on Saturday night into Sunday in a multi-family building in Norra Sofielund, Malmö. Police and rescue services are on site and have cordoned off an area of about 30 meters around the stairwell.
Rescue services were able to enter the building about an hour after the alert to investigate. No ambulance has been called to the scene, according to Sydsvenskan.
"It is a suspected explosion. There are no reports of fire or injuries," says Linus Steffensen, duty officer at the rescue service. Bomb technicians are on their way to the scene, the newspaper reports.
