Andrew Brandt, a former Green Bay Packers executive and NFL agent, named the Pittsburgh Steelers as one of the best-run franchises in sports during a Tuesday appearance on The Dan Patrick Show.
Brandt highlighted the Steelers alongside the Packers, Eagles, Patriots, and Cowboys as organizations that focus on the product on the field rather than other factors. He praised both the Steelers and Packers as small-market legacy teams with rich histories.
The Packers hold 13 championships including four Super Bowls while the Steelers have six Lombardi Trophies. Both teams feature numerous Hall of Famers. Brandt noted that these family businesses are now worth $10 billion yet would never sell ownership.
The Rooney family has held the Steelers since the franchise's founding in 1933. Pittsburgh has recorded no losing seasons since 2003. Starting quarterback Aaron Rodgers and head coach Mike McCarthy have worked for both the Steelers and Packers.
