The Broken Hardys defeated The Great Hands to retain their TNA World Tag Team Championship on the July 9 episode of TNA Impact.
The match took place at the Broadview Center in Albany, New York. Brother Nero started against Jason Hotch before tags brought in John Skyler and "Broken" Matt Hardy. The Hardys secured the victory when Brother Nero hit a Swanton Bomb on Skyler for the pinfall.
The Hardys had won the titles in a four-way ladder match at TNA Slammiversary on June 28. Mustafa Ali had arranged the title opportunity for The Great Hands after their prior losses to the champions.
After the match, Mustafa Ali appeared on the entrance ramp with Special Agent 0 and made a phone call. Tasha Steelz had checked on The Great Hands before Ali arrived.
