American doubles players Robert Cash and JJ Tracy have split ahead of the North American hard-court season. The pair, ranked 32nd and 27th respectively, will compete with new partners at the Mubadala Citi Open later this month.
The duo posted a 12-18 record this season and exited in the second round at Wimbledon. They won the ATP 250 title in Marrakech and a Challenger event in Aix-en-Provence but recorded 12 first-round losses overall.
Their partnership started in 2021 at an ITF event in Columbus. They reunited in 2024 after claiming the NCAA doubles crown for Ohio and reached the Newport grass-court final that year.
Cash will now team with Alex Erler while Tracy partners Francisco Cabral in Washington. Cash has noted that a dramatic NCAA semifinal comeback helped convince him to pursue tennis professionally instead of medicine.
