A houseboat broke loose and burned on Siljan early Monday morning. Rescue services could not save the vessel despite attempts to extinguish the fire.
The houseboat caught fire after breaking loose at Sandholmen in Mora. Rescue services arrived at 02.45 and used their own boat to tow the burning vessel to shore.
SOS Alarm staff confirmed that the attempt to put out the fire failed. The operation ended at 04.30 when the boat was completely burned out.
No one was on board and no injuries were reported in connection with the fire.
