The Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati has opened the objection window for GATE 2026 answer keys and candidate response sheets on the GOAPS portal as of February 25. Candidates can file grievances until February 28. This comes after the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering, held from February 7 to 15, 2026.
The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati, the organizing institute for GATE 2026, released the provisional answer keys and candidate response sheets on February 25. These are accessible on the GOAPS portal at goaps.iitg.ac.in and the official site gate2026.iitg.ac.in.
To file objections, candidates must log in with their credentials and submit any grievances by February 28. The GATE 2026 examination took place over four days, from February 7 to 15, covering 30 test papers.
A statement on the GATE website indicated that provisional candidates are not permitted to raise objections but can view their responses on the GOAPS portal. During the exam, questions and answer options were shuffled for each candidate. The released responses are arranged in the order they appeared on the exam console, so candidates need to match each jumbled question with the corresponding one in the master question paper for objection purposes.
The answer keys apply only to the master question paper, the GOAPS portal clarified. It added, “The session number mentioned under ‘View Response’ indicates S1 and S2 for the forenoon and afternoon sessions, respectively, on the specified date. This session number is not related to the session code (S1 to S8) mentioned in your registration number.”
GATE 2026 scorecards, which will include marks obtained in each section, the overall score, and All India Rank (AIR), will be released only to those who meet the cut-off score.
