Two Indonesian sports federations have welcomed the government's multi-year budget policy for national training camps backed by President Prabowo Subianto.
The Indonesian Surfing Association and the Indonesian Climbing Federation expressed appreciation for the multi-year budget scheme for national training programs.
PSOI chairman Pandu Sjahrir said the policy provides certainty for continuous athlete development. He noted the federation had sent athletes to the Tokyo 2020 and Paris 2024 Olympics and targets medals at the 2026 Asian Games and 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.
PP FPTI chair Yenny Wahid conveyed similar appreciation on Saturday 20 June 2026 in Jakarta. She stressed that success at the 2026 World Climbing Championships in Prague demonstrates the value of consistent training fully supported by the government.
