Julio César Chávez Jr., aged 40, will step into the ring at Reynosa's Estadio Adolfo López Mateos, a baseball park with capacity for 10,000 spectators adapted for boxing. Pre-event activities are set for Thursday, April 23 at 18:00 and Friday, April 24 at 11:00.
Chávez Jr. holds a record of 55 wins, seven losses, and one draw, with 35 knockouts since his 2003 debut. His most recent bout was on January 24 in San Luis Potosí, where he won by technical knockout in the fourth round against Ángel Julián Sacco.
Jhon Caicedo, with 13 wins and one loss—including five knockouts—aims to rebound after a third-round knockout loss to Avni Yildirim in Istanbul.
The Mexican is back following a tough period, including his 2025 arrest in the United States after losing to Jake Paul and his release in August. Broadcast will be on Azteca 7, aztecadeportes.com, and the channel's app.
