The Corruption Eradication Commission suspects an envelope left by inactive Kuantan Singingi Regent Suhardiman Amby at the forestry minister's office contained Singapore dollars. The allegation arose during a graft investigation into a forest permit.
KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo said the money came from farmers in village unit cooperatives. The funds were exchanged into Singapore dollars before handover during the 2 June 2026 audience.
Forestry Minister Raja Juli Antoni confirmed receipt and return of the envelope in a press conference. He described the meeting as official and fully documented.
The KPK also confirmed no similar fund flows to the ATR/BPN ministry have been found. The probe into alleged job bribery and gratuities continues.
