Lana Del Rey revealed plans for a second album to accompany her long-awaited Stove on July 15. The singer shared details in an Instagram post about the companion project emerging over the past four years.
In the post, Del Rey described Stove as a “classic album” that is “so lovely and intact as it was intended to be.” She said the secondary album formed as “a beautiful, secondary album” during the extended creation process, serving as “a commentary of sorts on everything that has been going on.”
Del Rey noted she spent “so much time waiting for things to come together” while also dealing with doubt. She credited collaborators for helping compile the additional material and said both albums represent “two of my most beautiful pieces of work.”
The artist stated she needs “a month to finish putting it together” before sending the projects to vinyl. Artwork shared in the post included images for Stove and a second record possibly titled Spyda, though no release dates were confirmed for either album.
