Leeds United have secured captain Ethan Ampadu on a new long-term deal. The Wales international has committed to Elland Road until 2030.
Leeds captain Ethan Ampadu has signed a four-year contract extension with the club. The 25-year-old midfielder had two years left on his previous agreement. Club chairman Paraag Marathe confirmed the news. “Ethan has signed an extension and we’ve got him locked up for four years. It’s all done,” he told the Yorkshire Evening Post. Ampadu was a key figure in Leeds’ promotion back to the Premier League. He won both the Players’ Player of the Year and Player of the Year awards for his midfield displays. The defender has made 126 appearances for Leeds despite two serious knee injuries. He has also collected 62 caps for Wales.
