Manchester United have reached an agreement to sign midfielder Ederson from Atalanta for €45 million. The 26-year-old Brazilian is set to complete the move in July on a four-year contract with an option for an extra year.
The deal marks United's first signing of the summer transfer window and follows an agreement on personal terms reached last week. Ederson will undergo a medical before joining Michael Carrick's squad. The initial fee stands at €40.5 million with €4.5 million in potential add-ons, according to reports. Ederson replaces compatriot Casemiro, who left the club last month after four seasons. Ederson has made 180 appearances for Atalanta since arriving in 2022, scoring 16 goals and providing five assists. He contributed to the club's Europa League success in 2024 and has earned three caps for Brazil.
