Leksand signs Canadian defenseman Carter Berger

Leksand has added 26-year-old Canadian defenseman Carter Berger to its roster for the Hockeyallsvenskan season. Berger joins after a season split across three clubs in North America and Europe.

The Swedish club announced the signing on May 8. Berger began last season with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms in the AHL before moving to the Reading Royals in the ECHL and then to HC 05 Banska Bystrica Zvolen in Slovakia. In 18 games with Zvolen he recorded 17 points, including five goals and 12 assists.
