Leksand verpflichtet den kanadischen Verteidiger Carter Berger

Leksand hat den 26-jährigen kanadischen Verteidiger Carter Berger für die kommende Hockeyallsvenskan-Saison unter Vertrag genommen. Berger stößt zum Team, nachdem er die letzte Spielzeit bei drei verschiedenen Vereinen in Nordamerika und Europa verbracht hatte.

Der schwedische Club gab die Verpflichtung am 8. Mai bekannt. Berger begann die letzte Saison bei den Lehigh Valley Phantoms in der AHL, bevor er zu den Reading Royals in die ECHL und anschließend zum HC 05 Banska Bystrica Zvolen in der Slowakei wechselte. In 18 Spielen für Zvolen erzielte er 17 Scorerpunkte, darunter fünf Tore und 12 Assists.

Victor Johansson, a 20-year-old Toronto-drafted defenseman from Stockholm, has left Leksands IF for rival Brynäs after expressing a lack of trust in the club's leadership. The move comes after Leksand's SHL playoff exit.

Interest from Västerås and AIK has emerged for the hard-shooting back, who recorded 29 points in 49 games this season. Meanwhile, AIK forward Oliver Tärnström appears headed for the exit after two seasons, with Mora leading the pursuit.
