Der schwedische Club gab die Verpflichtung am 8. Mai bekannt. Berger begann die letzte Saison bei den Lehigh Valley Phantoms in der AHL, bevor er zu den Reading Royals in die ECHL und anschließend zum HC 05 Banska Bystrica Zvolen in der Slowakei wechselte.
