Little Grandad release debut tracks and announce London shows

The band Little Grandad has released their first recorded singles 'Sleepwalking' and 'Unmasked'. They also announced three consecutive headline shows in London this summer. The tracks precede a busy festival schedule.

Little Grandad, formed by brothers Jack and Harry Lower along with guitarist and trumpet player Ned Ashcroft and drummer Jimmy Brennan, shared their debut tracks ‘Sleepwalking’ and ‘Unmasked’. Produced by Kev Jones at The Church and The Communion Studios, the singles follow a sold-out headline show at the 100 Club last week. The band, which bonded over Chet Baker’s music, has played over 70 live shows blending Americana, slacker-rock, and British indie styles in the past year. This marks their first recorded music release ahead of summer festivals like Green Man, Dot To Dot, and Bearded Theory. In ‘Sleepwalking’, the singer croons, “I’ve been sleepwalking, through my life/ Yes I’ve been sleepwalking, drifting through time/ And I’ve been wasting away, I’m burning through the years,” over country-inspired acoustic guitar. ‘Unmasked’ builds a melancholic feel, stripping back to vocals and trumpet, with Harry singing, “Oh babe please don’t ever change/ Don’t let them ruin your tomorrow days/ You were always there through my comfort and my pain.” Alongside the new music, Little Grandad announced a London residency with headline shows at Shacklewell Arms on July 8, The George Tavern on July 9, and The Windmill on July 10. Tickets go on sale May 13 at 10am BST via Dice, with pre-sale from May 12. The band has additional festival dates through September, including End Of The Road, Latitude, and Victorious.
