Tenisha Warner filed two lawsuits against Pamela Warner seeking $1.2 million tied to a prenuptial agreement. The action comes on the one-year anniversary of Malcolm-Jamal Warner's death. The Cosby Show actor drowned in Costa Rica on July 20, 2025.
Tenisha claims the 1996 Warner Family Trust leaves 70 percent of assets to Pamela, 15 percent to the late father and 15 percent to a half-sister, effectively cutting out her and daughter MacKenzie.
She filed the first petition in Los Angeles Superior Court in November 2025 and followed with a Georgia breach-of-contract suit on July 20, 2026. Tenisha said she tried to settle privately for a year and had "no choice" after Malcolm planned but never completed an updated estate.
Pamela's lawyer stated she is concerned about MacKenzie's well-being and not trying to exclude the child. In an Instagram post, Pamela wrote of discovering "how cruel, evil and greedy a human can be" during her year of grief.
A court-appointed guardian noted Malcolm left at least $2 million.
