Mega Raichu X and Y appeared in the Pokémon anime for the first time during the latest episode of the series.
The episode titled “Enter the Fake Rising Volt Tacklers?” featured the Volt Tacklers confronting imposters who used a Pichu, a Pikachu, and two Raichus in battle. The imposters then used Mega Rings to evolve the Raichus into their X and Y forms during the fight. Mega Raichu X demonstrated physical attacks while flying, and Mega Raichu Y focused on special attacks throughout the sequence.
