The intersection at Södervärn was unusually quiet the day after the accident. A ring of lights and candles has formed around one of the blooming chestnut trees.
People stop to lay down flowers. Some hold each other's hands and cry. Teens the girl's age gather in groups and one says it is hard to understand that she is really dead.
It was on Friday afternoon that the girl was hit at the crosswalk. By Saturday the memorial had already begun to grow with bouquets and lit candles.
