Nagtaas ng 11% ang mga kaso ng tigdas sa Northern Mindanao noong 2025, mula 371 hanggang 411, na may 74% ng mga pasyente na hindi nabakunahan. Nagbabala ang Department of Health na maaaring lumala pa ito sa 2026 dahil sa mababang rate ng pagbabakuna. Noong 2025, naitala ng Department of Health (DOH) sa Northern Mindanao ang 411 na kaso ng tigdas, na 11% mas mataas kaysa sa 371 noong 2024. Ayon sa DOH-X, 74% ng mga pasyente ay hindi nabakunahan, na nagdudulot ng babala tungkol sa potensyal na paglala sa 2026 dahil sa mababang coverage ng immunization.

"May mga outbreaks sa iba't ibang parte ng bansa dahil sa mababang coverage ng immunization, kabilang na ang ating rehiyon," sabi ni Dr. Germaine Labadan, head ng DOH-X Family Health Cluster. Ang coverage sa rehiyon ay 56.7% lamang noong nakaraang taon, malayo sa 95% na target para sa herd immunity. Ang Cagayan de Oro ang may pinakamataas na 87.21%, habang ang Bukidnon ay 49.71%. Iba pang lugar tulad ng Misamis Oriental (51.87%), Misamis Occidental (52.05%), Iligan (52.55%), at Camiguin (53.73%) ay nasa ilalim ng 50%.

Inaasahan ng DOH-X na 524,267 na bata ang eligible, at bawat vaccination team ay maaaring magbakuna ng hindi bababa sa 80 bata kada araw. Ang tigdas ay nahahawa sa pamamagitan ng paghinga, ubo, at bahid, na may sintomas tulad ng lagnat, ubo, sipon, at pantal.
