Chile's Policía de Investigaciones (PDI) detained a 47-year-old worker at the Cesfam Eduardo Frei Montalva health center in La Cisterna after she posted printouts threatening shootings. Colleagues reported the notes to police, and security cameras identified her. She faces a detention review on Monday for the crime of threats.

Chile's Policía de Investigaciones (PDI), via its Brigada de Investigación Criminal (Bicrim), responded to a report from the woman's colleagues at the Cesfam Eduardo Frei Montalva health center in La Cisterna, a commune in the Metropolitan Region.

The posted printouts warned: “Every Monday and Friday there will be a shooting at work… Please do not come”. Comisaria Mariela Ibáñez stated that “due to the seriousness of the incident, personnel from this brigade went to the site, where through scientific technical methods, the veracity of the fact was established, filing the respective complaint and carrying out initial proceedings”.

Analysis of the health center's security cameras confirmed the 47-year-old woman's responsibility. She was then detained and placed at the disposal of the Public Ministry.

On Monday, she will appear in court for her detention review on charges of threats.
