In Uttar Pradesh's Sambhal district, authorities have heightened vigilance ahead of Alvida Jumma and Eid-ul-Fitr amid the Iran-Israel conflict. On March 11, 2026, during a peace committee meeting, Circle Officer (CO) Kuldeep Kumar issued a firm warning. He stated that those showing excessive emotions in support of Iran would be dealt with strictly, saying, 'I will give proper treatment to those beating their chests for Iran.'
City Magistrate Sudhir Kumar and Kotwali Inspector Gajendra Singh were also present at the meeting. The CO prohibited sloganeering or wearing black bands for protests. He emphasized that prayers must be offered only inside mosques, with legal action against anyone performing namaz on roads or public spaces.
Additionally, warnings were issued against using social media for reels or fame by disrupting the atmosphere, promising action in such cases. Officials appealed to residents to celebrate the festivals in peace and harmony, avoiding rumors. These measures stem from concerns over potential protests supporting Iran, with the CO advising that support be expressed outside India.
