President Bola Tinubu has appointed Abdulrazak Sa’ad Namdas as Director General of the Border Communities Development Agency. He also named Patrick Obahiagbon and reappointed Chukwuma Umeoji to executive positions at the Niger Delta Power Holding Company.
The appointments were announced on June 26, 2026, and take effect immediately. Namdas replaces Dr Dakorinama Alabo George, who resigned to contest an elective post in Adamawa State. Namdas previously served as a member of the House of Representatives and as spokesperson for the 8th House.
Patrick Obahiagbon was appointed Executive Director for Strategy and Commercial at NDPHC. He succeeds Engineer Omoregie Ogbeide-Ihama, who resigned to pursue a political aspiration. Obahiagbon has served in both the Edo State House of Assembly and the National Assembly.
Chukwuma Umeoji was reappointed as Executive Director for Corporate Services at NDPHC. Umeoji, a former member of the Federal House of Representatives, had resigned earlier to pursue a political ambition in Anambra State. A statement from presidential spokesman Bayo Onanuga confirmed the details.
