TNA Wrestling has undergone a workforce reduction that resulted in the departures of Tommy Dreamer and Sami Callihan. The moves come just before the promotion's Slammiversary pay-per-view event scheduled for June 28 in Boston.
Tommy Dreamer left his roles as head of creative and talent relations earlier this week following a mutual agreement with TNA. Sami Callihan, who had taken on multiple backstage positions after retiring from in-ring competition in August 2025, was also let go as part of the reduction.
Callihan described receiving the news during a Zoom call he initially believed would involve his addition to the creative team. He said he stated his case to officials, noting his long tenure and contributions across merchandise, marketing, and production.
TNA is set to hold Slammiversary on June 28 in Boston, MA, with Nic Nemeth challenging Mike Santana for the TNA World Title. Callihan criticized the build to the event, saying matches were not announced far enough in advance.
Bully Ray and Nic Nemeth both indicated they would not take on Dreamer's full responsibilities in creative or talent relations.
