A truck collided with a stationary protection vehicle on the E4 north of Uppsala on Friday. Two people sustained minor injuries and were taken to Akademiska Hospital. Northbound traffic was affected throughout the afternoon and evening.
The collision occurred just after 12:30 north of the Storvreta exit. According to rescue services the truck struck a TMA protection vehicle at high speed. Göran Norman, operations controller at the rescue service, described the impact as a powerful bang.
Three people were involved in the crash. Two were transported to hospital, though none were assessed as critically injured. Tomas, coordinator at the medical dispatch center, confirmed that all injuries were minor.
Rescue personnel left the scene at 15:30. Northbound lanes remained closed for several hours. Traffic was reopened in one lane at 16:00 and in the second lane at 21:00 in the evening.
