Valve has introduced a reservation programme for its newly launched Steam Controller following a rapid sell-out that frustrated many buyers. The system opened on 8 May at 10am Pacific Time, allowing users to secure a place in line for future stock.
The company announced the changes overnight on 8 May after the controller went on sale on 4 May at a price of £85. In a Steam post, Valve said high interest had created an incredibly frustrating purchase experience and outlined steps to improve it while limiting reseller activity.
