West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi removed the head of the education department's IT unit Suhendar on 10 June 2026 following public protests over the PCMB process.
Governor Dedi Mulyadi, known as KDM, ordered the removal after visiting the West Java education office and speaking with parents. Protests involved unverified accounts, system access problems, and unreadable data.
KDM appointed e-Government Division Head of the West Java Diskominfo Mark Aditya as acting head of the Tikomdik unit. He stressed that all provincial government applications must be built by Diskominfo.
KDM confirmed that SPMB 2026 will open on 15 June 2026 and must be led by an official who understands IT. PCMB serves as an initial mapping of prospective students before official registration.
