Jakarta Corruption Court panel convicts former SD Director Sri Wahyuningsih and former SMP Director Mulyatsyah in the Chromebook and CDM procurement corruption case at Kemendikbudristek. State losses are set at Rp2.18 trillion per BPKP calculations. The ruling refutes claims by former Minister Nadiem Makarim.
The Corruption Court panel at Central Jakarta District Court read the verdict on Thursday, convicting Sri Wahyuningsih and Mulyatsyah of joint corruption in Chromebook laptop and Chrome Device Management (CDM) procurement from 2019–2022. Chief Judge Purwanto Abdullah stated the defendants violated Article 3 juncto Article 18 of the Corruption Law.
Sri Wahyuningsih received 4 years in prison and a Rp500 million fine subsider 120 days, while Mulyatsyah got 4 years 6 months, the same fine, plus Rp2.28 billion restitution subsider 2 years. Judge Mardiantos affirmed state losses of Rp2.18 trillion per BPKP and prosecutor testimony, including Rp1.56 trillion for digitalization and Rp621.39 billion for CDM.
Digitalization losses were detailed as Rp127.9 billion (2020), Rp544.6 billion (2021), and Rp895.3 billion (2022). The judge refuted former Minister Nadiem Makarim's claim that BPKP did not compare purchase prices to market rates. "Ini sesuai dengan keterangan Badan Pengawas Keuangan dan Pembangunan (BPKP) di persidangan dan jaksa penuntut umum (JPU)," said Judge Mardiantos.
The defendants' actions involved Nadiem Anwar Makarim, Ibrahim Arief, and Jurist Tan, deemed to cause massive state harm and undermine clean governance free of corruption, collusion, and nepotism.
