Maging alerto sa fees: setup fees, cash-custody fees (kasama per-transaction sa Landbank), annual administration fee bilang percentage ng account value, at investment fees tulad ng trust fee sa UITF o brokerage sa stocks at REITs.

Para sa investments, gabayan ng risk tolerance. Mga karaniwang opsyon: money market fund (low risk, modest returns); government bond fund (low risk, interest-rate risk); corporate bond fund (higher yield, credit risk); equity fund (high risk, growth potential); equity index fund (tracks PSEi, diversified); individual PSE Index stocks o Dividend Yield Index stocks (high risk, concentrated); at REITs (dividends, sensitive sa rates at property).
