Zillow Home Value Index Declines for Second Straight Month

Home values in the United States fell for a second consecutive month in June, according to the latest Zillow Home Value Index.

The ZHVI stood at $372,995 for June. This marked a decline of 0.07 percent from May and an increase of 0.84 percent compared with the same month a year earlier.

After adjusting for inflation, the index dropped 0.31 percent month over month and 2.34 percent year over year. Real home values now sit 13.84 percent below their peak reached in July 2022.

The report was published by Seeking Alpha on July 17 and written by Jennifer Nash. It noted that inflation-adjusted values have reached a five-year low.
