L'état de Carlos Alberto Parreira est stable alors que la sédation est réduite

L'ancien sélectionneur de l'équipe nationale du Brésil, Carlos Alberto Parreira, âgé de 83 ans, reste en soins intensifs à l'hôpital Samaritano Barra de Rio de Janeiro en raison d'une inflammation pulmonaire.

Selon un bulletin médical publié par l'hôpital samedi (20), l'état pulmonaire de Parreira est stable. La sédation est progressivement réduite, mais il reste sédaté et respire avec l'aide d'un appareil.

Le patient nécessite des soins intensifs et aucune date de sortie n'est prévue. Il est suivi par le pneumologue réanimateur Arthur Vianna et par l'équipe pluridisciplinaire de l'hôpital.

En 2024, Parreira a suivi une chimiothérapie pour le traitement d'un lymphome de Hodgkin. L'ancien entraîneur a mené l'équipe nationale brésilienne au titre de la Coupe du monde 1994.
