Delhi inaugure son premier commissariat réservé aux femmes

Le lieutenant-gouverneur Taranjit Singh Sandhu a inauguré vendredi le premier commissariat réservé aux femmes de Delhi, situé à Subzi Mandi.

Le commissariat de Subzi Mandi, dans le district Nord, enquêtera sur tous les crimes commis à l'encontre des femmes et des enfants, y compris la violence conjugale, le harcèlement lié à la dot, les agressions sexuelles et les affaires relevant de la loi POCSO. Il dispose d'un effectif autorisé de 57 personnes. Près de 60 pour cent du personnel est composé de femmes. La commissaire de police et la commissaire adjointe sont également des femmes. Le lieutenant-gouverneur a déclaré que le succès serait mesuré par la confiance qu'il inspire aux femmes et aux filles, et non par le simple nombre d'affaires traitées. Le commissaire de police de Delhi, Satish Golchha, a fait référence à la stratégie des quatre « P ».
