Delhi inaugura su primera comisaría de policía exclusiva para mujeres

El vicegobernador Taranjit Singh Sandhu inauguró el viernes la primera comisaría de policía exclusiva para mujeres de Delhi en Subzi Mandi.

La comisaría, situada en el distrito Norte de Subzi Mandi, investigará todos los delitos contra mujeres y niños, incluidos la violencia doméstica, el acoso relacionado con la dote, la agresión sexual y los casos de la ley POCSO.

Cuenta con una plantilla autorizada de 57 efectivos. Cerca del 60 por ciento del personal son mujeres. La jefa de la comisaría y la comisaria adjunta de policía también son mujeres.

El vicegobernador señaló que el éxito se medirá por la confianza que inspire entre mujeres y niñas, no meramente por el número de casos. El comisario de policía de Delhi, Satish Golchha, hizo referencia a la estrategia de las cuatro 'P'.
