Au guichet du dépôt de la Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) de Sarojini Nagar, Moumita Pal a effectué sa deuxième tentative pour obtenir la "Pink National Common Mobility Card" (PNCMC), également appelée carte Saheli. Ce programme du gouvernement de Delhi permet aux femmes de voyager gratuitement dans les bus de la DTC. La carte remplace le système de tickets roses introduit par le précédent gouvernement de l'Aam Aadmi Party. Il s'agit d'une initiative sociale du gouvernement du Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), lancée par la présidente Droupadi Murmu en mars. Comme l'a rapporté The Hindu, Moumita Pal a manqué deux jours de travail et a subi une retenue sur salaire pour faire la queue. Les femmes se sont plaintes de la longueur de l'attente. Le ministre des Transports de Delhi a déclaré qu'il n'y avait aucun problème avec le programme.
