L'indice PMI des services de l'ISM progresse à 54,5 en mai

L'Institute for Supply Management a annoncé que son indice des directeurs d'achat (PMI) du secteur des services pour le mois de mai s'établissait à 54,5. Ce chiffre a dépassé les attentes et confirme la poursuite de l'expansion dans ce secteur.

L'indice composite principal est ressorti au-dessus des prévisions qui tablaient sur 53,7. Il reflète également une cinquième hausse consécutive de la moyenne mobile sur 12 mois du PMI, qui atteint 52,8 pour cent après avoir progressé de 1,1 point depuis décembre 2025. L'activité commerciale a atteint son deuxième niveau le plus élevé depuis octobre 2024. Aucun produit de base ne figurait sur la liste des baisses de prix pour le troisième mois consécutif. L'aluminium, le cuivre, le diesel, l'essence, les licences de logiciels et le transport sont restés sur la liste des hausses de prix, confirmant ainsi des tendances observées depuis plusieurs mois.
