Le Limpopo fait ses adieux au musicien Xitsonga Kenny Bevhula

Des centaines de personnes en deuil se sont rassemblées dans le village de Bevhula, près de Malamulele, dans le Limpopo, pour rendre un dernier hommage au musicien Xitsonga Kenny Bevhula. L'artiste de 53 ans est décédé la semaine dernière après une bataille contre un cancer de la vessie. Les membres de sa famille ont salué l'héritage musical durable qu'il laisse derrière lui.

Kenny Bevhula, un musicien Xitsonga de renom, a été inhumé samedi dans le village de Bevhula, près de Malamulele, dans la province du Limpopo.

Il s'est éteint le 20 avril à l'âge de 53 ans après avoir lutté contre un cancer de la vessie, comme l'ont rapporté les informations de SABC News.

Des centaines de personnes ont assisté aux funérailles, parmi lesquelles des artistes, des fans et des membres de la communauté locale, lui offrant un dernier adieu digne de ce nom.

Le porte-parole de la famille, Tiyiselani Bevhula, a déclaré : « Notre frère laisse derrière lui un héritage musical durable dont nous profitons en tant que famille et dont profite la nation tout entière. Sa musique perdurera longtemps après sa disparition. »
