La station LRT-2 Legarda propose un parking gratuit aux passagers du train

Les passagers de la Light Rail Transit Authority peuvent désormais garer leurs véhicules gratuitement à la station LRT-2 Legarda à Manille. Le service a débuté récemment, faisant suite à une offre similaire à la station Santolan un mois plus tôt.

Le secrétaire aux Transports, Banoy Lopez, a déclaré que cette initiative visait à réduire la congestion routière, la demande en carburant et les temps de trajet. Le parking est accessible tous les jours de 4h à 23h30 sur la base du premier arrivé, premier servi, sans possibilité de stationnement de nuit.

Les passagers doivent obtenir un ticket de parking auprès du service de sécurité sur le parking, emprunter le train, puis faire valider leur ticket au bureau d'assistance aux passagers de leur station de destination. Le ticket validé est nécessaire pour sortir du parking.

Le ministère des Transports a encouragé l'utilisation des transports publics dans un contexte de hausse des prix du carburant liée à la crise au Moyen-Orient. Depuis mars, le gouvernement subventionne les tarifs à hauteur de 50 pour cent sur les lignes LRT-2 et MRT-3.
