Le président Marcos doit quitter Manille aujourd'hui pour une visite d'État de quatre jours au Japon. Ce voyage vise à renforcer les liens en matière de défense et à aborder la sécurité énergétique dans un contexte de volatilité mondiale des prix des carburants.

Marcos rencontrera la Première ministre japonaise Takaichi Sanae pour discuter du partenariat stratégique renforcé entre les Philippines et le Japon. Les sujets abordés incluront la sécurité maritime, l'énergie, la sécurité alimentaire et la mise en œuvre des pactes de défense existants.
