Marquee Brands acquiert une participation majoritaire dans Roberto Cavalli

Marquee Brands a conclu un accord définitif pour acquérir une participation majoritaire dans la maison de luxe italienne Roberto Cavalli. La société basée à New York a annoncé la transaction mercredi sans divulguer les modalités financières. Il s'agit de la première incursion de Marquee dans le secteur du luxe.

Roberto Cavalli a été fondée en 1970 par le regretté créateur du même nom. La marque a gagné en notoriété grâce à ses apparitions remarquées sur les tapis rouges dans les années 1990 et au début des années 2000. Cavalli est décédé en 2024 après avoir quitté la griffe en 2015 et vendu une participation majoritaire à la société de capital-investissement Clessidra. Damac Properties, basée à Dubaï, a par la suite acquis la pleine propriété en 2019 et conservera une part minoritaire après cette dernière transaction. Fausto Puglisi occupe le poste de directeur artistique depuis 2020.
