WHP Global finalise l'acquisition de Marc Jacobs auprès de LVMH avec G-III comme partenaire

WHP Global a conclu le rachat de la participation majoritaire de LVMH dans Marc Jacobs, intégrant G-III Apparel Group en tant que copropriétaire. Marc Jacobs conservera son poste de directeur artistique alors que la marque réoriente son modèle vers les licences sous WHP et les activités de détail et de gros sous G-III.

Après des mois de spéculation, la transaction est désormais finalisée. LVMH, qui avait acquis une participation dans la griffe en 1997, en a transféré le contrôle à WHP Global. G-III Apparel Group, déjà partenaire sur plusieurs autres marques, supervisera les boutiques et la vente en gros de Marc Jacobs, tandis que WHP gérera les licences. La part de l'investissement de G-III s'élève à environ 500 millions de dollars. La direction artistique de la marque demeure inchangée, le fondateur Marc Jacobs conservant son rôle de directeur artistique.
