L'industrie du disque a annoncé des projets d'étiquetage volontaire pour la musique utilisant l'IA générative. Cette initiative émane d'organisations majeures, dont la RIAA et les Grammy Awards.

Plus de 35 ans après l'autocollant "Parental Advisory", des groupes de la communauté musicale proposent des marqueurs numériques sur les morceaux créés ou assistés par l'IA. Une annonce conjointe de la Recording Industry Association of America, des Grammys, de SAG-AFTRA et d'autres a défini un système comprenant un bloc noir "AI" pour les chansons entièrement générées par IA et un bloc plus petit "ai" pour les morceaux assistés par l'IA. La PDG de l'IFPI, Vikki Oakley, ainsi que le président-directeur général de la RIAA, Mitch Glazier, ont déclaré que les fans souhaitent savoir comment l'IA générative est utilisée dans la musique. Le PDG des Grammys, Harvey Mason Jr., a ajouté que ces étiquettes placeront la créativité et la paternité des œuvres au centre des chansons. Cette proposition fait suite à des rapports indiquant que les morceaux générés par IA représentent une part importante des nouveaux téléchargements sur des services comme Deezer et Apple Music. Il reste incertain quand les plateformes de streaming adopteront ces étiquettes.

Spotify and Universal Music Group have signed a licensing agreement that will let Premium subscribers create AI covers and remixes of UMG tracks. The deal was announced on May 21 during Spotify’s Investor Day. It marks a shift after Spotify’s earlier efforts to limit AI-generated content on the platform.

Spotify announced a partnership with Universal Music Group to offer AI-powered remixing and cover song tools as a paid add-on for Premium subscribers. The streaming service also introduced a reserved ticketing feature for dedicated fans in partnership with Live Nation.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has updated its rules to exclude AI-generated performances and screenplays from Oscar consideration starting with the 99th ceremony in 2027. This builds on other changes like multiple acting nominations per performer and expanded Best International Feature eligibility.
