Un homme d'affaires sud-soudanais porté disparu à Nairobi

Un homme d'affaires sud-soudanais identifié comme étant Athorbey Gaddafi Guet a disparu à Nairobi après avoir été présumément enlevé par des hommes armés tôt mercredi.

Athorbey Gaddafi Guet, largement connu sous le nom de Gaddafi, a été en contact pour la dernière fois avec son épouse le lundi 8 juin à 10h19. Elle a appris plus tard qu'un rapport de police déposé au poste de police de Kilimani décrivait un enlèvement près du centre Yaya. Selon le rapport, des hommes masqués à bord d'un pick-up blanc ont intercepté le véhicule de covoiturage transportant Guet après qu'il eut quitté le casino Lucky 8 vers 3h du matin le mercredi 10 juin. Son téléphone a été localisé pour la dernière fois près d'un hôpital sur Kiambu Road. Amnesty International Kenya a appelé à la divulgation immédiate de l'endroit où il se trouve et a mis en garde contre toute disparition forcée. L'activiste Boniface Mwangi a noté que Guet avait exprimé des préoccupations concernant sa sécurité en avril en raison de litiges commerciaux. La police et la Direction des enquêtes criminelles examinent actuellement l'affaire.
