Thomas Faurel accède au tableau principal de Roland-Garros

Thomas Faurel, le neveu âgé de 20 ans de l'entraîneur de Coco Gauff, s'est qualifié pour le tableau principal de Roland-Garros après avoir remporté trois matchs consécutifs lors des qualifications.

Faurel, classé 382e mondial, a battu Genaro Alberto Olivieri 7-6, 6-3, Jay Clarke 6-4, 6-3 et Dalibor Svrcina 6-2, 6-3 sans concéder le moindre set. Ces victoires lui permettent de participer pour la première fois au tableau principal d'un tournoi du Grand Chelem et font de lui le deuxième plus jeune Français à réaliser cette performance à Roland-Garros au cours de ce siècle.
