Trungelliti révèle les raisons de son départ d'Argentine après le scandale de 2015

Marco Trungelliti s'est confié à des journalistes à Paris concernant sa décision de quitter l'Argentine il y a dix ans. Le joueur de 36 ans avait été la cible de menaces de mort après avoir signalé une tentative de corruption pour truquer un match en 2015.

Le joueur argentin, désormais installé en Andorre, a décrit les retombées auxquelles il a fait face après avoir collaboré avec la Tennis Integrity Unit. Il a expliqué que l'enquête avait mis au jour un réseau organisé mais n'avait pas su protéger son identité en tant que lanceur d'alerte. Trungelliti a ajouté que les institutions n'avaient fourni aucun soutien, laissant lui et sa famille vulnérables à des menaces qui l'ont contraint à déménager d'abord en Espagne, puis définitivement en Andorre.
