Le département de l'Agriculture des États-Unis a annoncé une réorganisation majeure de son domaine de mission Recherche, Éducation et Économie afin d'améliorer l'efficacité et de s'aligner sur les priorités du département.

L'annonce, faite le 23 avril 2026, comprend le transfert de certains postes de la région de la capitale nationale vers des bureaux situés à Kansas City et à St. Louis. Les agences concernées incluent le Service de recherche économique, l'Institut national de l'alimentation et de l'agriculture et le Service national des statistiques agricoles. Le Service de recherche agricole commencera à mettre hors service le Centre de recherche agricole de Beltsville dans le Maryland, qui abrite le laboratoire de recherche sur les abeilles de Beltsville, et transférera ses programmes vers d'autres installations à travers le pays.
