Waldez Góes renonce à sa candidature au Sénat et reste au ministère

Le ministre de l'Intégration et du Développement régional, Waldez Góes, s'est retiré de la course au Sénat dans l'État de l'Amapá pour conserver son poste, à la suite d'une demande du président Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva. Waldez Góes, ministre de l'Intégration et du Développement régional, a publié une déclaration indiquant qu'il s'était retiré de la course au Sénat dans l'Amapá à la demande de Lula. Il bénéficiait du soutien du président du Sénat, Davi Alcolumbre (União-AP), mais a choisi de rester au gouvernement. Un sondage AtlasIntel publié le 1er avril plaçait Góes en quatrième position des intentions de vote. Dans l'Amapá, le président Lula prévoit de soutenir la réélection de Randolfe Rodrigues (PT), leader du gouvernement au Congrès. Le même jour, le 2 avril, le ministre de la Sécurité sociale, Wolney Queiroz (PDT-PE), a annoncé qu'il se retirait également de la course aux élections législatives fédérales pour rester à son poste.
